Rental Policies
Equipment Description and Rates

Classroom Technology Support offers a variety of equipment and services to fill your classroom and special event needs.  We offer our services to campus academic units, administrative units, research units, and registered student groups.  We cannot rent to individuals or off-campus groups, unless they are sponsored and authorized by a campus department.

We can deliver to most rooms or spaces on campus, but we are limited to the main UCI campus only (sorry, but we cannot deliver to UCIMC).  There are a few campus locations where we cannot deliver due to equipment limitations and/or access to the site.  Equipment needed for these spaces can be picked up at the CTS office for will-call.  Please review our equipment rental policies (link) before sending us your request.

Equipment Rental Request Form
All requests for equipment need to be placed with a CTS Equipment Rental Request Form. This form must be signed by someone authorized to spend funds for your unit (or club), and must be mailed or faxed to CTS a minimum of three working days prior to your event date.  Make sure to give us your contact information, as we may need to clarify certain aspects of your order.

Equipment can be requested for will-call, delivery & pick-up, or operation.

Will-Calls
The will-call service allows users to pick up equipment directly from the CTS office during the business hours listed above.  CTS staff will be happy to train the user on set up and operation of the equipment, but it is the users’ responsibility to transport the equipment and return it in the condition in which it was picked up.  Users assume full responsibility for lost or stolen items, and will be recharged for the cost of restoring any items to their original condition.

Computers are not available for will-call.

Delivery & Pick-Up
Delivery and pick-up is our standard means of getting equipment to our clients.  We will deliver, set up, and pick up equipment at the times and location specified on the order form.  Please specify event start times vs. event set-up times on your order, and keep in mind that for most classes we only have a 10-minute window before and after the class in which to deliver.

CTS will not deliver duplicate equipment to a SmartClassroom or SmartTrailer.

Operation
Equipment operation is rare for us these days as most of our equipment is user-friendly, but we will gladly deliver and operate equipment when necessary for special events.
